Which one of the following most accurately states the main point of the passage?

How is B the best choice?

Can you go over how B is correct and the rest are not? I though B was too narrow to be the main point

I think that B really does sum up the entire passage: the first paragraph more or less states this as its thesis in the last sentence, and the following two paragraphs give evidence for it.
