I think there are two issues with C. First, it fails to capture the nuance of the authors argument as elaborated in the final paragraph and the second half of the next to last paragraph. The author does seem to think that B is wrong, or at very least lacks nuance in his view of fairy tales. This isn't really captured in C. Moreover, I don't think I see any support in the passage for the idea that the content of fairy takes usually ran counter to the orthodoxy of child rearing.
