why not A

i can see why E could be right but it says theoretically analog is better than digital in the first sentence. Then it talks about theoretical advantages of analog later only to later say that digital works better in some practical cases. I was torn between A and E but because of repetitive use of theoretical in the passage I chose A

Hi @medas, A is very broad, saying that many ideas that look good in theory do not work in practice. This question type is asking for an answer choice that the passage support. Since the passage is only about one thing (signals) it would be hard to make a conclusion about many things. Furthermore, the passage does not tell us that analog works poorly in practice, only that it has limitations under certain circumstances. E, however, tells us that Analog is inferior under those circumstances, which the passage does support.
