D v. E

Hi, can someone explain the difference between D v. E - I was able to narrow my answer easily to those two but ultimately chose wrong.

“Conflicting” is a strong word! If two things are in a true conflict, they cannot both be true. The authors of passage A and passage B both come to the conclusion that telling lies in sometimes OK in their two different mediums (by the way, this is the “somewhat different contexts” referred to in the correct answer). So, both authors come to similar conclusions, both of those conclusions can coexist, so they can’t have “conflicting interpretations.”
