(D) is wrong because the passage never gives a strong indication where bipedalism emerged. It could have been in the grasslands or it could have been in the forests. Try summarizing the passage in one or two sentences on these Must Be True questions. That can help you see and remember the big picture. The summary here would be "There's a debate on where and why humans evolved bipedalism." Any answer choice that conflicts with that summary — like (D) — will be an easy elimination. Plus, we want to be very skeptical of answer choices that use super strong language like "exclusively" on Must Be True questions
