Im still not getting how D could even be close to the correct answer

This question you have to "think too much" to get that answer. The prompt is saying the increase in blood pressure is from Psychological stress rather than physical, how does D even come close to strengthen that?

Hi Tyler808,

D shows that the thing that the author is trying to prove (that the increase in BP comes from the stress of communication, not physical movement) can happen in other forms of communication. That is, D shows that the phenomenon described happens when "talking" with the hands, not just the mouth. This is an additional piece of evidence that supports the idea that the increase comes from communicating, not moving.
