What was the whole point behind the last sentence?

After I examined the answer, that really didn't do anything to the argument.

Hi Tyler,

I agree that the last sentence is not critical to the argument. I think it serves to allow the author to concede that the point they are arguing against is not completely invalid (there were some issues), but that the conclusion they argue against does not follow from its premises (that those issues were not what caused collapse).
