Can you explain the difference between answers A and D?

When I was reading the answers, question A with the quote "without first understanding the media that came before it" and question D with the quote "evolution of content" seemed very similar to me. I believe that the evolution of content includes the media that came before it, so I had trouble distinguishing between the two answers and unfortunately selected the incorrect one. Can you explain the difference between these two questions, specifically in regards to the phrases I mentioned?

Hi Alex,

I would try to understand the answer choices in the context of the questions. A tells us that we cannot understand the Ebook without understanding the print book. Since we already understand the print book (or at least we understand it as well as we can), this seems like an odd option.

D tells us that we must understand how the content evolves- that is as the passage says- how it evolves from the state of using the content from its old medium to having its own, platform-appropriate content.
