The author would be most likely to reject which one of the following principles?

Who is the author in this and how do I identify what the "author" is saying?

The first and second paragraphs seems like it's by two different people. Paragraph one accepts art together while paragraph two doesn't. Who is the author? Also, I've never seen this reading comp question before. Confusing man.

Hi Tyler808,

The author is just the person who wrote the passage, and each passage has only one author. Note that for the comparative passages, each of the two passages are written by different people.

Keep in mind that sometimes that author will be quoting or relaying the views of others rather than their own view. Determining the author's view is one of the most important parts of RC.
