How are we supposed to have prior knowledge about facelifts versus a major surgery to understand this analogy? Seems like a bad answer choice. I understand the use of the context clue "major", however, are newer tests using language like this? I have come across more than one question that has posed interesting phrases and words that I have heard of yet do not understand enough to apply them in the context of the LSAT

Hi, I would argue that facelift is a play on words here. While it is a type of minor surgery, it is also a commonly used expression that denotes a minor or cosmetic change. That said, given that this is more of a vernacular term, I would be moderately surprised to see this on a modern test.
