Basically, all it's saying it's offering the same channels. How does that strengthen?

Hi, B isn't exactly saying that it's the same channels. It's saying the new offering will have many of the same factors that make older offerings popular.

The argument assumes that more channels are better. But this doesn't have to be true. would you rather have 50 channels of interesting content, or 150 channels of Garbage? B suggests that more actually is better.
