Hi, it could indeed still be 44 percent fiber. However, I think it would be misleading on other grounds. Saying only that a pill is "44 percent fiber" could lead one to conclude that that pill gives you almost half of the fiber you need daily, however, E tells us that the pill is only about 1 percent of the fiber one needs.
