Lagniappe tip for the future

For this game, Matt made scenarios placing the R/T block. I got the same scenarios but instead of using the R/T block, I used the F group. While I was writing down the rules I noticed that the F group shows up in two rules, then noticed S & W can't be together which left only three valid scenarios for the F group: one with S, one with W, and one with the RT block and so made scenarios around the F group instead. Key Takeaway: When given a block of variables in a group game, I often focus on using that block to make scenarios. But don't forget to be on the lookout for when groups themselves show up often in rules and see if there are valid scenarios to be made by filling in that restrictive group. There may be game where the rules don't imply scenarios with the variables, but then check to see if there is group that appears more than once that filling out would move variables around the board.

Completely agree with this! There will often be times where the most immediate thing to use for scenarios doesn't trigger enough other downstream effects.

In general, I think about two things for scenarios. 1: does it limit the possibilities, ideally to three or fewer and 2: does each scenario tell me a lot about the game
