B vs D

I was stuck between b and d. Where in the passage is d supported? I seem to struggle with inference questions. Thank you!

Hi, I would look to the middle of the final paragraph. The author tells us that patents are for the underlying idea, and that copyright is for the way that idea is expressed. We know that the pro patent side thinks that software should be protected by both patent and copyright, so we know they probably thing that both the idea and the way it is expressed should be protected. This is a good match for D.
