Hi, the causation is going in the wrong direction in A. Since what matters is our own perception of our personal situation, we should care about things that impact our perception of our situation. However, a tells us that our perception of own situation impacts our perception of news reports. We care about the impact of media on our understanding of our situation, not the opposite
