Hi, this is a tough one, but I don't think the author goes as far to argue that couples are not able to accurately describe their own problems, but rather, they say that couples tend to articulate problems in financial terms even if there are multiple issues at play. I think it would be a stretch to go from that to what E says. That said, I wouldn't be comfortable eliminating E until I had seen B.
