I can't find anything that must be true on this question. I have v-zw-x y and u just have to fit anywhere in the first and last three respectively. What's wrong with the first three being: vzy...?

Good catch! For future reference it can't by VZY because then Z wouldn't be immediately before W as the question asks for.
