Why C

My anticipation was that they disagree over whether there had to be some other explanation for the dance because animals can communicate the same thing in several ways. The correct answer says they disagree over whether the dance is communicating the location of food. I don't think the second speaker would necessarily agree with that, Winifred would just say that it can't be ruled out.

Hi, while I don't disagree with your anticipation, I think we can show that W disagrees with H's assertion that the dance is not for food. While her initial assertion that Hs conclusion only points to the idea that it could be true that the dance relates to food, we should look at the rest of her argument. In it, she notes that the scent trails are supplementary, which I think implies that the thing they are supplementing is the dance.
