Hello. When the stimulus uses the term "shy person," why do we not diagram this shy person as 'not an extrovert' or NOT EX (EX with a slash through it)?

Ah, gotcha! I think the main reason the video doesn't diagram it as such is that being shy is not necessarily the same thing as not being an extrovert. In fact the passage directly implies the existence of some shy extroverts.
