The order in which the musicians perform is completely determined if which one of the following is true?

Why are we assuming L goes before O?
The rules don't specify which comes first, L or O, just that there needs to be one space between. But in the video, he puts L first, and then O. To me this suggests that it is not determinable because you don't know whether L goes into spots 2 or 4.
Similarly, if you place O in the third spot, you end up with S/N in spots 2 and 4, respectively, suggesting a similar conclusion. Where am I going wrong?
The following is how I had the two answers filled out:
L (s/n) O (n/s) M T P O in the third spot
S (l/o) N (o/l) M T P S in the first spot

Hi, I think I'm the video he was going through one possibility, but that said, it could have been better to write L/O rather than deciding that L would be first. However, I think there is an issue with the second one you filled out.
Remember that L must be before N, this allows us to say that if S is first, then L must be second and O must be fourth. So, it is completely determined. This is not true of O being third.
