Most Statements - Quantifiers Video

I was a bit confused if most statements are reversible or not. At 13:00 minutes into the Qunatifers video, it was said that most statements cannot be reversed but in the examples at 41:00 minutes, it was said that most statements are reversible. I wanted to make sure I was understanding this properly! Thank you!

Good question! Most statements are not exactly reversible. That is, we can't say that since we know most politicians are old, that therefore most old people are politicians.

However, we can reverse a most statement into a some statement. Since most politicians are old, we know that there are at least several old politicians exist. So, we know that some old people are politicians.

To sum it up, we can't just reverse a most, but we can reverse it if we turn that most into a some.
