I found support for C

The second paragraph states that the mass media does most of the work for hollywood studios so doesn't that suggest a greater level of dependence on the part of the media even if they are interedependent?

Hi, the second paragraph does indeed state that media does most of the work on behalf of studios, and that this relationship, which was also present in the 1920s, has in fact mushroomed since then. This would suggest, if anything, that studios are now even more dependent on media than they were in the 1920s. This is the opposite of C.
