Can you explain why D is correct instead of E?

Thanks!

The first paragraph of the first passage seems to give us pretty good support for the idea that passage A was intended for bodybuilders: it mentions the, twice, and phrasing muscle memory in terms of "most bodybuilders will be familiar with..." does give a hint that the passage was meant for bodybuilders.

We don't have any similar giveaways in the second passage, so saying it's for the general audience feels reasonable and non controversial, particularly in light of the first sentence there.

However, while the idea that the second passage might be for exercise scientists is hard to debunk (although it does not seem to be written for an audience familiar with the topic), there's nothing in passage one that would give any indication it was intended for psychologists, given that the passage is about physical not psychological topics.

On test day, how could I determine D above E?

Given that this is about the relationship between the two elements, I would start by asking what the relationships are between the things in D and E.

In D, we see specialists and the public. That is, people who actually do something, who are experts in it, or passionate hobbyists opposed to everyone else.

In E, we see two different kinds of experts, one who focuses on the mental aspect of athletics and one who focuses on the physical elements.

I would then ask whether the passage feel more like they are intended for experts, or if one is intended for the general public. Given that the first passage does explicitly seem to be targeting bodybuilders, this feels like a strong candidate.

Thank you for that insight!
