Any advice on becoming too reliant on diagramming?
Hello,
I feel as if I have become too reliant on diagramming, and I am unable to tell whether something is a valid contrapositive or just a reversal or negation from just reading the statement.
This is obviously problematic because on the LSAT, we likely wouldn't have time to diagram every single question. Do you have any advice on how I can wean myself off diagramming? Thank you!

Hi, this is where common sense comes in. If we have a statement that "the president must be over 35," it's not hard to understand that this is very different from saying that everyone over 35 is president, or from saying that since Bob isn't president, he must be under 35.
That's really all there is to conditional reasoning. People love to hype it up but all it is is a guarantee that if one thing is true, then a second thing is also true. I like to look for what's guaranteed. I know that if you're the potus then you're old. This also necessarily means that if you're 22, you can't be president.
