I think the shift in A is best described around line 5: from focusing on individual women to focusing on the abstract notion of gender relations. Around like 8 we are then told that the study of gender relations is the study of the social systems that underlie how men and women interact. This is a pretty strong match for A.

While the author does indeed talk about imagined domestic spheres around line 15, this is talking about a shift from discussing individual women to discussing the concept of domesticity and how it shaped gender dynamics. That is, the shift was to start talking about domesticity, not a shift in how we talked about domesticity as E would suggest.
