I think we can knock out D because the lines in question don't really talk about the role of men and masculinity: it's only tangentially referenced in the reference to the family. Had d talked about femininity rather than masculinity it would be much more attractive.

Those lines do tell us that the concept of family, and it's linked concept of domesticity, we're taken to underlie Roman society. I don't love it, but I think this gives us support for A. While I think what is happening here would equally be well described as an example of how politics shaped the concept of domesticity, I think the influence flows both ways. That is, the role of women as domestic partners as what supported Augustus' effort to reform and reframe Roman society.
