Does the last sentence of Q4 tell us that the Greek's did have a monetary system?

The last sentence says that goods were traded for money or commodities in the agorae. Can we conclude that the Greeks had a monetary system since they were trading with money?

The last sentence tells us they traded for either money or barter. We don't know for sure that they traded for money based on that sentence, only that it was a possibility.

So it was a possibility that they had a monetary system, but we don't know for sure? Or they definitely had a monetary system since the possibility of trading for money existed, but whether they traded for money or goods in any specific instance is uncertain?

It's a possibility but it isn't a certainty. While it may or may not be possible that one could trade for money (with foreigners who have a monetary system) but not have a system oneself, we know here that it's possible the trade in question was all in barter, which would not necessitate a monetary system.
