Can you please explain what makes ans choice D right. I choose B. Is D right because it includes expenses given in B among others? Thank you in advance.

I think d is right because it is broader, but also because the author thinks that printing and binding costs will not go away. She says this in lines 7-9. When asked what a specific line means, look to the immediate context. Since the paragraph is referring to eliminating the costs of retail distribution, d looks strong.
