I agree that that analogy is being made. However, I think it's important to note which direction it is being made in. The author is saying that ants act like a computer. In this respect, she is saying that ants, living things, act in a way that indicates a degree of coordination and collective action that is similar to what we see in a Computer. This is not the same thing as saying that computers act as if they are alive.if we described the bits of a computer functioning similar to an ant colony that would be a better argument for C.
