Is this question logically impossible?

I understand the deduction process eliminating incorrect answers leaving you with E, however the rules that O and P need to take up either a French or Japanese slot, in combination with the new added term that S will take up a Japanese slot, make it so these 3 variables necessarily take up ONLY the 1st, 3rd, and 5th slots no? In other words, if O is only able to teach French or Japanese, how is he teaching German???

Hi, O would be presenting in French, which is allowed, not German, the lawyer would be in Mandarin and the naturalist would be in German.
