Why is C wrong?
Hi there, I have two questions: in a real LSAT exam, is it possible for the answer choices to have lousy grammar like it has in answer choice C? If I see such lousy grammar or even a typo, can I automatically rule it out? Did answer choice C make this grammatical error intentionally or by accident?
Meanwhile, I hope to know what is wrong with C if we lay the grammatical issue aside. I think it justifies the argument being given.

First, I'm not sure where the error is in C. While 'the arguments having been given' is probably a better phrasing, I don't think that C is incorrect, it's just an awkward use of the passive voice.
That said it is very possible for the lsat to use weird or clunky phrasing. They will often do this, and our job is to make sense of the weird phrasing. So here, I would rephrase C in my head to read "shows the reason/urgency behind why the author makes the argument"
This makes it easier to see why C is wrong. The author is making a concession in the sentence in question, it certainly doesn't say why the argument is important. If anything, I think c is a good description for the role played by the fact that evil still exists.
