What's the principle?

Is the principle exhibited in the stimulus that we should embrace some sort of failing experience that happened before since the experience can lead to self-improvement? Please suggest if this is right.

Well it doesn't necessarily have to do with a "failing experience," rather any type of challenge. But other than that, you have the right idea!
