The question is asking which of the following MUST BE TRUE of the ranking EXCEPT. This means that the correct answer choice is not necessarily true while the incorrect answer choices must be true. The fact that L could be fourth doesn't mean it MUST be fourth. As we demonstrate in the video, it is possible to have H J Q P L, which puts L fifth.
Must be true is an absolute statement. One counter example is all that is needed to disprove an absolute statement.
So the fact that L could be fifth proves that it is not necessarily true that L is fourth so (B) is the correct answer.
Hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions.

I don't understand why the answer is that L cannot be fourthMehran on June 22, 2016
@asandhu as explained above, L can be fourth. This question, however, is asking what MUST BE TRUE.
L does not have to be fourth in this scenario. L could be fifth.
Make sure to read the question stems very carefully.
Hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions.

So even though we know Q is more popular than L we still do not know the relationship between P and L. Therefore, L could be 4th but not always 4th. I got the question wrong. :( I fell into the same trapfrankmora on January 3, 2018
