The June LSAT is officially one week away. I want you to remember that your best friend this week is relaxation. Stressing out is unnecessary. You have worked hard and deserve to stay cool and collected during these next few days. Here are some things I think you should try out if you haven’t already during this last week:
(1) Go on a run
We’ve talked about this before, but exercise is one of the best ways to de-stress. If you don’t like running, go on a hike in a park or on the beach!
(2) Cook
Cooking is a great way to de-stress, and you get yummy food at the end of the process, and possibly help un-alienate loved ones you may have alienated through this LSAT course prep process.
(3) Read for pleasure
I know you may be asking yourself, what does she mean? Long ago before you began studying for the LSAT, there was a thing known as the fiction novel. You can sit with a cup of hot cocoa, crack open a lovely novel, read just for fun, and not have to think of what the main point of each paragraph is.
(4) Sleep
Let’s be honest, you haven’t been getting enough sleep. Lack of sleep is a huge contributor of stress and irritation. Remember, lack of sleep now catches up with you days later. So getting little sleep now may affect you poorly on the day of the exam.
(5) Hang out with friends
If you’re like me, all my loved ones were neglected during my LSAT prep, so once the last days came upon me, I tried to calm myself by going out with those I may have forgotten about while I read Logical Reasoning question after question.
Now those are just my suggestions. They work for me. Everyone is different. Just try not to go too crazy this week. You don’t have to overdo it. Think about it this way, if you don’t feel ready yet, is one week going to get you there? Probably not. Don’t tire yourself out by cramming in as many diags as you can, only to stress and tire yourself out for the big day. And please remember that taking the day before the test off is totally normal and actually encouraged. One day is not going to make or break your score! But one extra day of total relaxation might really help!
