Say No Thank You to Getting Sick!

One of the worst things that can happen to you when you’re about to take the LSAT is getting sick! And, as I’m sure you know, flu season is upon us! We are less than two weeks away from the exam and you need to guard yourself from the sniffles! Many of my own students have had this happen to them because they were not taking precautions. This is a bit “mom” of me, but, I like to see myself as your LSAT mother from a far. So, I have compiled an easy list of preventative things you should definitely start doing immediately:

  1. Take at least one vitamin C a day
    Vitamin C is amazing for you health, and even if you are drinking your daily orange juice, make sure to supplement with an extra boost to keep your Logic Games taking mind strong!
  2. Take at least one Echinacea chew a day
    Echinacea is your immune system’s best friend. You can find Echinacea/Zinc supplements at most health food stores. Start now!
  3. Eat a daily portion of antioxidants
    Blueberries, kale, pomegranate, any of them will do. Or if you’d like mix up some frozen fruit and have a smoothie! This will help purge the toxins in your body that keep you sluggish and suppress your immune system.
  4. Exercise!
    Exercising keeps you focused and healthy. Point blank.
  5. If someone is sick around you, leave!
    This is not the time to spare someone’s feelings. I see this happen ALL the time with my LSAT students. They don’t want to hurt Susie-cough-a-bunch’s feelings and they won’t take themselves out of the vicinity of her evil germs, and BAM. SICK! NOT. WORTH. IT.
  6. Eat a healthy balanced diet
    How you feel is really a lot about what you put into your body. If you are starving yourself or forgetting to eat due to stress or eating junk food, you are doing yourself a disservice.
  7. Get a lot of sleep

This is seriously one of the most important things you can to do keep yourself healthy. I’m the first person who will admit, I never get as much sleep as I should. But, I always see that when I do, I am exponentially more efficient and alert for that day. It’s worth it.
