Turning our attention first to Question 6, Which one of the following could be a complete

and accurate description of the order in which the films are shown at the festival? Let's

go through these rules one at a time.

The first rule, again coming directly from this passage before our conditions, tells

us that we have at least one of each Limelight, Harvest, and Greed. Just based on that we

can eliminate (A), because where is Greed? So (A) is out. You notice (B) has Harvest,

Greed, Limelight, (C), Harvest, Limelight, Greed, (D), Greed, Harvest, Limelight, (E),

Greed, Harvest, Limelight, so those are fine.

We know we can't have the same film shown twice on the same day, and none of our remaining

answer choices violate that rule. Then max, three per day. Again, we do not see any day

here with more than three films shown.

Now let's turn our attention to the conditions. Again, the first condition here tells us that

on Thursday Harvest is shown, and no film is shown after it. You notice answer choice

(D) we have Harvest being shown second, followed by Limelight, which would clearly violate

rule number one, so (D) would be eliminated.

We then know from our second condition that Saturday has either G or L, but not both,

and no film can be shown after it. First, looking at (B) you notice we have G and L

on Friday, which violates the not both condition of our second rule, so (B) does not follow,

and (B) would be eliminated.

Then you notice in (E), while we have Limelight on Friday and we don't have Greed, the problem

with (E) is that Harvest follows Limelight on Friday, which also violates our second

condition. (E) would be eliminated, proving that (C) here would be the correct answer.

Again, let's just write this out very quickly as our previous work, because it might be

useful to us as we proceed on to the next question. Thursday's going to be Harvest.

Friday is going to be Limelight, and Saturday is going to be Limelight and Greed.
